Population Advice for Research Committee (PARC)

STU supports healthcare professionals to design and develop research projects which answer questions beneficial to those who use their services.  We support involving people with relevant lived experience in the design and development of research as this can improve its quality and relevance

There is often only a short period of time between needing the input of patients and service users and funding deadlines, and so we created the Population Advice for Research Committee (PARC)

PARC is a group of people who are able to respond quickly to request for support in the design and development of research projects.  They have experience as NHS GP or hospital patients and/or other healthcare service users and/or as carers.  They support the development of research funding applications by email and/or by attending meetings in or around Swansea

If you would like to find out more about PARC you can email stu@swansea.ac.uk or download our leaflet

To join PARC, please fill in our membership interest form, or email us for a copy

If you would like to find out more about public involvement in research you can visit the Health and Care Research Wales website or email research-involvement@wales.nhs.uk
